This rare vintage 1930s orange crate label offers a gold-framed view onto a Southern California agricultural valley at sunrise with a blazing sun beaming over a distant mountain range and foothills. In the foreground are pink and blue morning glory blossoms on a vine beside a perfect ripe orange. The valley floor is covered with orange orchards, the trees planted in neat rows under a glowing orange sky. This beautiful label could have served just as well to sell the Southern California life as it did to sell delicious oranges! This label is vintage – not a copy and is in mint / pristine condition.

THIS IS A TOUGHER TO FIND ANTIQUE TOKEN USED IN THE LIVING GHOST TOWN OF MANHATTAN…. SHOWS ABOUT R8 TO FIND IN ORIGINAL NEVADA BOOK WHICH ACTUALLY GAVE RARITY DATA ON EVERY LISTED TOKEN…. I ALWAYS LIKE THESE OLD NEW STAND TOKENS FROM GHOST TOWNS….. THEN AROUND 1905 REALLY EXPLODED AS A GOLD CAMP…. THE PEAK POPULATION HIT 4000… AND TODAY MAYBE 100 PEOPLE LIVE IN THE REGION, THUS A “LIVING GHOST TOWN”. The historic mining camp town of Manhattan is considered a “living ghost town” today with a small remnant population of 100 as compared to a peak population of 4000 in the region in its heyday…… Its an amazing place… Located not too far from Belmont, Tonopah, Gabbs, Luna and Mina Nevada. Trade token is brass metal, round, about 21mm in size, and it has a small merchant punch mark, but strong details. (please see pictures in gallery).
