Obsolete Los Angeles County Special Deputy Sheriff Badge. ARTIFACT: Beautiful, obsolete 1910’s Los Angeles County Special Deputy badge in exceptional condition. The entire badge is made with lovely detail, an eagle sits atop the badge with head bowed and wings spread. The center shows a stylized plate with the number “TZ43″ and surrounding scrolls or banners that read: SPECIAL L. ” and along the base of the badge it reads: “DEPUTY SHERIFF in embossed lettering. SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2″ x 1-7/8″. CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Stamped nickel plated brass, black paint. ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety style pin with’C’ type catch. ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months.
