Two color pictographic / pictorial maps, each approx 8 x 10 inches on sheet size 18 x 12 folding to pamphlet 9 1/4 x 4 inches, text and color illustrations on verso. 4 tiny chips and 1 larger chip (1/2 inch) to lower border of opened pamphlet; separations at fold intersections with 1/8 inch paper loss; 2 inch split along one fold intersection; tiny puncture to lower map, not noticeable. Good condition; maps would display very well. This vintage pamphlet features a bird’s eye view map of Los Angeles County with Long Beach centrally located at the lower edge and another map of the City of Long Beach California, each designed by Mary Hall Atwood and bordered with numerous vignette illustrations of points of interest. The verso contains information on how to “Make Long Beach Your Vacation Headquarters”. An uncommon pamphlet which WorldCat lists only at Stanford.
