Curious 1888 land promotional circular for Southern California published and printed in Boston, with addition offices in Los Angeles and San Diego. Not found in OCLC or commerce despite at least nine issues published. Probably marketed to easterners in the heart of winter. Most of the articles either have no by-line or credit local newspapers. The lone exception is an article titled “The Flora of Southern California” by T. Van Dyke, author of “Millionaires of a Day: an Inside History of the Great Southern California “Boom” and “Upland Game Birds” plus “The City and County of San Diego: Illustrated and Containing Biographical Sketches of Prominent Men and Pioneers.
