Stunning large bowl with a wide opening, thrown and hand in irregular shape and partly mottled green, crackled glaze. The edge has a fleabites, please refer to the photos, otherwise very good condition. Signed on the bottom. Chris Staley one of the foremost contemporary American potters, Head of Penn State Ceramics program, recipient of two NEA visual artist fellowships, His works are included in major collections including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Smithsonian National Museum, and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.
