Southern California Pictorial Guide 1914 Very Rare Great Condotion for Age
This book is an incredible jump back in time to Southern California at the turn of the 20th Century. Published by the Southern California Panama Exposition to tout San Diego, and Southern California, as the initial port for the newly built Panama Canal. The Exposition was basically a’local’ version of the World’s Fair and San Diego built numerous buildings all over San Diego, but mostly in and around Balboa Park Named before the Exposition started – previously it was called’City Park’. The 261 page book covers San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside and San Bernadino. The binding is tight and secure with no loose pages and no markings anywhere on the book. There are hundreds of fantastic photos showing these areas before Southern California started booming. This is truly a collectors find!
