Special edition of “Who’s Who in Los Angeles, ” dedicated to the 1932 Xth Olympic Games in Los Angeles. Profusely illustrated with b/w reproductions of photographs depicting the Olympic Stadium and other venues & architecture pertaining to the Olympics, officials, as well as hundreds of photographic portraits with biographical information of individuals who have aided the Games in a financial, moral or in any other way. Each individual listed in index at rear. Many photographs by Los Angeles photographic studios: Curtis, Witzel, Edwards-Hostettler, Murillo, Rayhuff-Richter, Lansing Brown, G. Edwin Williams, Gustavo, Groves, Mojonier, and Lindstedt-Phelan. Includes one-page “Greetings to Los Angeles Citizens and Olympiad Visitors, ” by John C. Porter, Mayor of the City of Los Angeles (accompanied by b/w portrait of Porter). Work divided into three sections: Part one with illustrations of architecture and Olympic venues. Section two with portraits of men, part three contains portraits of women. Minor age wear on binding. Age yellowing to outer edges of pages. Discoloration along margins at front and rear endpapers. Small stain on fore-edge. Good to very good condition.
