NOT ONLY IS THIS DOSE GLASS “RARE”….. THERE ARE NO DOSE GLASSES LISTED IN MY COPY OF THE MILLER CATALOG FOR PASADENA….. ORIGINAL OWNER CONSIDERED THIS SUPER RARE AND HE WROTE BOOK ON THE SUBJECT, AND WAS THE ONLY ONE FROM “PASADENA” HE EVER FOUND! (see images 7 & 8)….. BELIEVE THIS DOSE GLASS IS EARLY, AND A RARE UNLISTED TOWN, ORIGINAL OWNER CONSIDERED IT “EXTREMELY RARE”……… HE WOULD KNOW RARITIES, AS THIS IS EX-MILLER COLLECTION, AND HE WROTE THE BOOK ON THESE…. THIS WAS A LATE ADDITION TO HIS COLLECTION, NOT IN MY COPY OF HIS BOOK. Noted that “Huff” started his drug store way back in 1879 in downtown Pasadena…. But these typically issued around 1900 give or take, but a historic druggist. The historic town of PASADENA is located in Los Angeles County California… Known for “PASADENA TOURNAMENT OF ROSES”, and “JET PROPULSION LABORATORY” and of course “ROSE BOWL” not far from towns of Altadena, La Canada and Duarte, Cal. THIS DOSE GLASS DISPLAYS WONDERFULLY, EMBOSSING IS CRISP & NICE.. DISPLAYS WELL, NICE COLOR, VERY SHARP PC. This dose glass is what I would call a light sun purpled to clear colored glass, it stands about 2 1/4 tall… And it is a very nice specimen with 2 small defects noted (see gallery 7 & 8) to me very minor, and smooth to touch… THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN , took pictures from all angles and in different lighting conditions to show glass… Has the age and would likely turn darker purple if left in sun.
